Your First Home. Our Step-by-Step Guidance.

Step 1: Start With a Conversation
Before looking at houses, we want to understand you. We'll talk about your goals, preferred areas, timeline, budget, lifestyle, and what you're hoping to find in your first home. We'll also explain the buying process so you know what to expect before you make any major decisions.

Step 2: Understand Your Buying Power
Before beginning your home search, you'll want to understand what you can comfortably afford. We'll help connect you with trusted lending professionals who can walk you through financing options, estimated monthly payments, down-payment requirements, closing costs, and the preapproval process. There may also be programs available to qualified first-time buyers that can help with down payments or other home-buying costs. You don't have to figure this out alone.

Step 3: Find The Right Home
Now comes the exciting part. We'll create a home search based on your priorities and help you evaluate properties throughout the Portland Metro area and Southwest Washington. But we're looking at more than photos and finishes. We'll help you think through location, property condition, resale potential, commute, neighborhood characteristics, monthly costs, and how well a property fits your long-term goals.

Step 4: Make an Offer
When you find the right home, we'll help you understand the numbers and build an offer strategy. We'll review comparable properties, market conditions, potential competition, contingencies, timelines, and other terms before you decide how you'd like to proceed. Our role is to make sure you understand what you're agreeing to and advocate for your interests throughout the negotiation.
Not Sure If You're Ready to Buy?
You may be closer than you think.
One of the biggest misconceptions about buying a first home is that you need perfect credit, a huge down payment, or everything figured out before speaking with a real estate professional.
You don’t.
Our job is to help you understand where you stand today and what steps make sense for you next. If you’re ready now, we’ll help you get started. If you’re six months or a year away, we’ll help you understand what to work toward.
